MORE ABOUT LPG
The biggest consumers of LPG are the metal, plastic and food industries. For example, the baking and juice industries make use of LPG's cleanness by utilizing it directly in production. LPG is important also for the construction and paper industries as well as in heating plants of different sizes.
Teboil LPG is mainly produced out of a high quality gas condensate and not as a side product of oil refining. Because of this, the concentration of propane in LPG is as high as 98% (guaranteed value 95%). LPG consists of scented, low olefine propane C3H8.
Trustworthy fuel
Propane vaporizes and burns in all conditions, even in cold temperatures. Its boiling point is -42 °C and melting point -188 °C. In temperatures below -42 °C, it is in a liquid state.
Scented gas
In its clean state, LPG is odorless, tasteless and colorless. Teboil adds a scent emitting substance (ethyl mercaptan or tetrahydrothiophene) to LPG which improves the safety of using it.
High energy content
The energy content of LPG is higher than in any other fuel. Its lower heating value is 46.4 MJ/kg.
Clean combustion
Teboil LPG is an environmentally friendly energy source. Its combustion does not produce any solid, soot or heavy metal emissions. Its sulphur content is 0.01 g/kg. The amount of sulphur emissions during combustion is 0.001 g/KWh.
Flue gases
Combustion mainly produces carbon dioxide and water. Moist flue gases with an air coefficient of 1.0: carbon dioxide 11.6 vol-%, oxygen 0.0 vol-%, nitrogen 72.9 vol-% and water 15.5 vol-%.
